What are your Priorities?

"Most men have an insatiable desire for success, despite the fact that it is so ill-defined in our culture.  Too often it is equated with houses, cars, land, toys and money. Many men spend the vast majority of their lives climbing a ladder that never gets them to their desired destination -- fulfillment."  Ronnie W. Floyd

What are your priorities? As men we need to ensure we have our priorities in order. Many of us spend our time searching for fulfillment and success in various areas of our lives but, it seems to be an never ending struggle.  This is because our priorities are all mixed up.

Here is something to think about!
When your priorities get out of order, it seems as if life is a series of continuous struggles.  These struggles are your warning signs that your priorities are not right; you need to change your focus.

In his book The Meaning of a Man, Ronnie W. Floyd says "having the right priorities is as important to your lives as blood is to our body".

Get your priorities in order!

The list below is my submission on what a man's priorities should look like:

1. GOD
2. FAMILY
3. COMMUNITY
4. WORK
5. PLAY

"..seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, all of these things will be added unto you".  Matthew 6:33

Real Man Trait Number 1 : Your word is your Bond!

This is the most important message that you will ever learn as a man.  Chances are you've heard this before. So it will not be a new concept to you. The sooner you learn this lesson,   the less time you spend defending what you say, and spend more time actually saying it.

By definition Man, is prone to getting his way by deception.  It is said that if  you come across a man of integrity, who follows through on his promises and speaks with truth and confidence, that that should be cherished.  Become a man of your integrity!

Have you ever taken the time to actually discover what this means?  We throw terms around like "I promise" or "That's my word",  but all too often promises are nothing more than just words. Each time a promise that has not been kept, your integrity degrades.

On  your road to manhood, or to teach antother what the true meaning of manhood is.  Remember, if a man can't be held to his word, what good can he be.

“The most important persuasion tool you have in your entire arsenal is integrity.” John C. Maxwell
